중요 정신장애와 해당 유전자 문제들

이미 정신분열병을 하나의 병명으로 인정하는 데 기여할 가장 큰 가능성은 유전에 의한 것이라 밝힌바 있다.
최근 Jumpin Gene에 대한 이해도가 부각되면서 앞의 가능성은 점점 발판을 마련하고 있는 기세다.

개체보존의 본능 먹어야 하는 데, 종족보존 짝짓기를 함에
그리기 위해 도피와 투쟁은 물론 거기에 필요한 공격성에 해당한 일련의 유전정보가 밝혀지고 있다.
뇌 의학의 관심은 앞에서 밝힌 정신분열병뿐 아니라, 양극성 장애를 포함 불안과 우울감이라는 각기 다른
증상들 또한 유전과 무관하지 않을 것이라는 것은 능히 유추할 수 있는 바다.
해당된 유전자, 지금까지 밝혀진 그 개요을 일목요연하게 정리한다는 것은 정신과의사는 물론
신경과의사를 포함한 인지신경확학자들 모두에게 필요한 자료가 될 것이다.
물론 간단한 것은 아니다.
2014년 현재까지의 자료를 update한다는 것은 너무 방대한 연구들에 의해 매우 어려운 문제다.
결론에 이른 결정적 단일 유전자가 확인된 것을 증명한 자료를 보이지 않고 있는 탓이다.
하지만 정리해야 할 대목이란 점에 이의가 없는 실정이다.
시도하려는 의미를 이해하고 있다고 본다.
하나 하나 밝져가고 있는 것, 가능성이 높은 것을 요약하려고 한다.
Alzheimer's Disease, 알쯔하이머라는 치매가 뇌의 병으로 이해되고 유전과의 관계 또한 밝혀져가고 있다.
같은 안목에서 DSM-5에 분류된 정신장애들에 대해 유전학에서 밝혀진 자료를 겹쳐좋겠다는 것,
한 사람에 의해 가능하다고 보진 않는다.
그러나 탐색이란 여횅을 진행하려고 한다.
단편적으로 가령
개체보전을 위한 식욕 그것은 Leptin과 관계가 있음은 주지의 사실이다.
종족보전을 위한 짝짓기에 DRD4gene에 의미가 부여되고 있다.
정신분열병에서 GeneNeural FAS Domain 역시 관심을 받고 있다.
그러나
가능성이다. 결론이 아니다. 유전학자들의 집요한 연구는 결국 정신과의사가 원하는 치료에 응용될 수 있는
자료를 제공하게 될 것이란 기대는 공상과학이 아니다.

Mood Disorder and Genetics
The gene for the serotonin transporter protein is important.
This gene is responsible for making the protein that is targeted by all current drug treatments for depression. In a number of studies it has been shown that people who inherit one form of this gene, called SLC6A4, are at up to four times the risk of depression if they experience unusual stresses in their lives.
Basic science experiments and imaging studies in normal people suggest that the way this form of the gene affects risk for depression is by impacting on the development of a system in the brain that mediates how negative
environmental stresses and threats feel.
The effects of this serotonin gene on this brain system are thought to occur early in development,
where the shaping of brain systems related to how the environment is experienced emotionally is critically determined.
Basic science experiments have shown that another gene, called BDNF, regulates the expression
of a protein that is important for the ability of the serotonin gene to cause these developmental effects. The BNDF gene plays a critical role in allowing the serotonin gene to have its affect on brain development.
