너무나 익숙하고 그러나 연관된 상황들이 또한 너무나 많다는 점에서
정리가 되어있는 듯 임상적 활용에 혼선이 일어나는 것 또한 현실이다.
보다 밝혀져야하고 알아야 할 것이 많다는 뜻이다.
임상적 관계
적어도 8개의 경로, 그중에서 mesolimbic pathway는 보상과 욕구충족과 깊은 관계를 가지고 있다.
정신분열병, 우울감, 그리고 중독과 불가분의 관계, 분명히 문제점을 인지하고 있음에도 불구하고
강박적 욕구를 제어할 길이 없는 현상과 연계된다는 점에서 이해되지 않으면 안 된다는 사실,
가령 약물중독 (psychostimulants, opiates, ethanol, and nicotine)은 심각하다.
정신분열병, 우울장애 또한 약물중독에 못지 않은 관계, 치료와 직결되는 문제로 숙제이자 작금의 치료 현주소다.
